Faith Care Believers Report as Alleged Miracle.

LAPORTE, Ind, Jan. 1, -- Miss Sadie Plank, age 16, died at New Paris, Elkhart county, of typhoid fever.  Prayers were recited for her recovery, the family being believers in the efficacy of divine power to cure the dying girl.  A physician was a last called, but within four hours after he had pronounced her case as giving no cause for anxiety she was a corpse.  A sister similarly afflicted refused medical attention on being apprised of her sister's fate.  Dr. Dowie, the faith healer, was communicated with by telegraph, and at the appointed time for prayers, Miss Plank was assisted to kneel, when a miracle was apparently wrought, her restoration to health being but the work of a moment.  The family believe that Miss Plank's death was fore-ordained, and that prayer saved the second daughter from the grave.
